New Client Information/ General Policies & Procedures
In order to keep a stress free, safe environment for your best friend, I groom by appointment only and each pet is given a specific time based on breed and weight.
Because each pet is an individual and requires a different amount of time to be completely groomed, prices will vary. A price range can be given prior to your first grooming based on the services you are requesting; however, I cannot give you a solid quote until I actually see your pet.
SAFETY REMINDER FOR ALL PET PARENTS
For everyone's safety, please remain in your vehicle when you arrive for drop off and pick up.
During the grooming process, I often have sharp tools near your pet's eyes, face, and body. If someone knocks on the door or rings the doorbell, your pet may get excited and suddenly move-- which can cause serious injury.
To keep your pet safe and to make sure grooms are finished properly, I will bring your pet out as soon as they are done. My doorbell will usually pick up a vehicle in my driveway, but you are also welcome to text (330) 314-4382 and let me know you have arrived.
Schedule An Appointment
To schedule an appointment, text (330) 314-4382.
Due to the personalized and detailed nature of my work, I am unable to take and respond to calls and voicemails throughout the day. I will typically reply to texts and appointment requests by the end of the day.
Please note that this application does not confirm an appointment. Once submitted, please reach out via text to schedule an appointment.
Cancellations/No Shows
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide me with as much notice as possible. If less than 24 hours notice is given, a cancellation/no-show fee may apply.*
Drop Off/Pick Up
In order to ensure a safe, one-on-one experience, it is imperative that drop off and pick up times are respected. I operate out of my home and do not have the space or time for daycare services. As soon as I can most accurately predict when your pet will be done (at least a 45 minutes heads up), I will contact you with a pick up time.
Late Drop Off
Due to limited space and time restrictions, if you have not arrived within 20 minutes of your scheduled appointment, it will be considered a missed appointment.*
Late Pick Up
Unless previously discussed, due to limited space and time restrictions, if you are 20 or more minutes late picking up your pet, a daycare fee of $20 may be applied to your bill.*
Vaccine Policy
It is strongly encouraged that pets be vaccinated in accordance with their veterinarian's recommendations.
Rabies vaccine required unless otherwise advised by a licensed DVM.
All pets under 4 months of age are required to provide verifiable proof completed DHPP vaccines and a negative fecal.*
Flea & Tick Policy
I am unable to provide services for pets with fleas.
If fleas are found, you will be contacted to pick your pet up.
I am able to check your pet upon arrival for fleas. If any are found, I am not able to provide services until your pet is free of fleas. If you are unsure as to whether or not your pet has fleas, your pet can be checked with a flea comb prior to the appointment. If ticks are found I will remove them for no extra charge and the owner will be notified.*
Accidents
Although accidents are very rare, there is a risk when dealing with pets. Grooming equipment is sharp, and although extreme caution and care are used in all situations, possible problems could occur including cuts, nicks, scratches, quicking of nails, etc. In most cases this can happen when a pet is wiggling or moving around.
Any incident, no matter how small, will be communicated to the pet owner.
Any veterinary bills resulting from a pet being matted, elderly, aggressive, or from a preexisting or unforeseeable condition will be the sole responsibility of the owner. These conditions are not caused by the grooming process, but rather by the pet’s condition prior to the appointment.
Your pet’s safety and comfort is my number one priority. In the event an accident does occur, you will be notified of the accident.
Satisfaction
Your satisfaction is important! If you are unhappy for any reason and would like something adjusted, I will be happy to make any adjustments when you pick-up your pet from his/her appointment.
Once you take your pet home from the appointment, I will only accept return visits for adjustments 24 hours after your appointment. Any adjustments after will be charged a grooming fee of some kind.

Matted Pet Policy
Matted coats can cause a variety of skin and health problems. Matted fur does not allow the air to circulate to the skin, which can lead to hot spots, bacterial and fungal infections.
Matted fur also pulls and binds, causing pain to your pet when they move or lay on the mats. The skin underneath maybe raw and inflamed. Matted coats will not dry properly which can also lead to skin infections. Due to matting, your pet’s coat may need to be clipped extremely short and may show signs of skin irritation and sores.
Pawsitivity has explained to me that the matting on my pet can be difficult to remove and will require extreme care and extra grooming time. This may result in extra grooming fees. I understand that the groomer must use whatever blade will safely cut between the matted coat and my pet's skin, giving the groomer no choice in the length of hair left on my pet.
Due to the mats being tight against the skin, the only way of removing them is to use a short blade to clip between the skin and mats he/she maybe nicked/cut because We must work so closely to the skin.
We are very careful, but the possibility of injury is there, and you need to be aware of this and give permission to proceed.
I hereby release you from any responsibility of the above-mentioned process and all medical problems that may be uncovered and or occur during the clipping process.
Should my pet require veterinary care after or during the process, I agree to pay all vet fees for the above-mentioned pet's care.
Senior/Health Compromised Pet Policy
Grooming procedures can sometimes be stressful-- especially for a senior pet or pets with health problems. Because of this, grooming can expose hidden medical problems as well as aggravate a current one, whether it be during or after the groom.
Because senior pets and pets with health problems have a greater risk of injury, these pets will be groomed for cleanliness and comfort as Pawsitivity will not compromise any dog's health and/or well-being to achieve "the perfect groom." The pet owner will advise Pawsitivity of any medical, physical, emotional issues, allergies, sensitivities, or pre-existing conditions. These conditions may include, but are not limited to prior surgeries, hip and/or joint issues, warts, moles, ear infections, or skin problems. The owner will also inform Pawsitivity of new conditions as they arise.
Pawsitivity will not be responsible for accident or injury to an elderly (AGE 7 AND UP) or health-compromised pet during their grooming. By signing below, the owner is stating that Pawsitivity has permission to groom their pet and has discussed any and all (past and present) health problems.
Aggressive/Behavioral Issues Policy
Owners MUST inform Pawsitivity if your pet bites, has bitten, is aggressive, is unpredictable and/or has any other behavioral issues.
Informing Pawsitivity of these instances does not mean we will refuse to groom your pet! It simply makes me aware of any potential danger or behavioral issues. If an owner fails to notify us of any potential danger or behavioral issue, you can and will be liable for all medical fees, out of work compensation, as well as any and all property damage.
I will make every attempt to groom uncooperative pets, but we may not be able to complete grooming on pets that pose a threat to themselves, other pets, or groomers. We reserve the right to muzzle any pet for their safety, and ours. Extremely aggressive and unruly pets will NOT be groomed for the safety of both pet and groomer. If a pet is felt to be exhibiting behavior that is unsafe in regard to itself or the groomer, it may be in the best interest of the pet that the groom be stopped. A fee will be charged dependent on work completed up to that point.
Pawsitivity has the right to refuse grooming services, stop grooming services, or cancel grooming services at any time before, during, or after grooming and client will be charged a grooming fee for what was done up until that point. Your pet will never be sedated.
